A HARMONIOUS ORGAN SOUND
In 1897, Dr. J.J. Stronck, pastor emeritus in Dordrecht, an amount of 25,000 gulden (11,364 euros) for the construction of a new organ. He stipulated, among other things, that the old balustrade had to remain standing and that the Dordrecht coat of arms above the old organ also had to be placed on the new organ case. The organ was placed in 1899 by the organ maker M. Maarschalkerweerd in Utrecht and solemnly inaugurated on Sunday 24 September of that year by Dr.J.Th.A. junker. The instrument has 27 stops, divided over two manuals and pedal. In the autumn of 2019, major maintenance was carried out by J.J. Elbertse in Soest.
